The fully illustrated COOL PRAYERS: EVERYDAY PRAYERS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE. COOL PRAYERS is written for young people in the eleven to sixteen year old age group and the wording and topics of the text reflect the language and the style of teenagers. A group of young people suggested the topics and advised on the wording for the book.

COOL PRAYERS is divided into three sections:
• 'Prayers for Everyday' provides a structure for daily praying. An appropriate Scripture Verse - mostly from the Psalms - follows each prayer in this section, and the Lord's Prayer in modern English form is added at the end.
• 'In Conversation with God' is a set of reflective prayers on some key issues facing young people of this age group.
• 'My Prayers for Others' is a reminder that intercession is the responsibility of all Christians of whatever age as they show their love for others through their prayers.
Some notes on prayer are included before each section.
This book was produced by Rosemary and Peter Atkins (Peter was the Bishop of Waipu and Rosemary was president of AAW) and Art by Olivia Jackson-Mee, who is the young artist for all three books in the series, continues to develop her skills as an interpreter of the prayers who creates vivid images which link the topic to the text of this book

Now in its third printing COOL PRAYERS is used as a bedside book for teenagers, as a presentation by parishes and schools at the time of Confirmation, and as a text book and class set of prayers in many Christian Schools.
